St. Helen's Catholic School is a PreK-8th grade school providing over 68 years of dedication to the academic, spiritual, and moral needs of the children of Fresno. St. Helen's is rooted on a campus that preserves tradition, where a steadfast spiritual presence extends to the classrooms, corridors, and playground. A deep sense of community has been developed over the years, beginning with families enrolled at SHS, and continuing through the generous hearts of our alumni, donors, and volunteers.
Catholic education is the main focus of St. Helen's. Our goal of developing spiritual and faith formation among students is achieved through daily prayer assemblies, religion classes, preparation for the Sacraments and weekly participation in the Mass. Using the Bible and the Catechism, all aspects of the faith are taught.
St. Helen's is an accredited National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) school that provides an academic program to prepare our students for assessment testing and transition into high school.
While emphasizing spiritual formation, we also foster the mind and heart of each student through technology in the classroom, extracurricular activities, arts, and sports.
